What differentiates red jalapenos  from green jalapenos is basically age. While the green peppers are picked when they are young, red chilies are allowed to mature longer on the plant, thus developing more capsaicin (the hot compound). The green fruit is fresher and milder tasting than the hot, sweet red chili.

 Serving Suggestions:

  •         Simply serve this jellies on crackers and cream cheese.
  •         Make a cheesy thumbprint cookies and fill with jelly as a wonderful appetizer.
  •         Roast chicken wings and toss with a mixture of jalapeno jelly, smooth peanut butter, soy              sauce, rice vinegar, fish sauce and toasted sesame oil.
