Award-winning Cockagee Keeved cider made in The Cider Mill, Slane, Co. Meath is the basis for this jelly. This is the only cider in Ireland made by the ancient technique of Keeving. The result is a robust and full bodied cider with a natural, light sparkle with fresh apple aromas and a rich fruit flavour.

We infuse this cider with the fragrant and warm flavours of sage resulting in a much more sophisticated, grow-up version of the traditional apple jelly.


Serving Suggestions:

  • Wonderful accompaniment or glaze for roast pork. Brush over meat just before end of cooking time and return to the oven to add a lovely sweet, herbaceous coating that is certain to add that extra layer of flavour to your meal.
  • Mix with 2 parts mayonnaise to make an interesting dressing for red cabbage salad.
  • Serve as a dip for deep-fried gruyere cheese: dip cheese in an egg and milk mixture seasoned with salt and pepper, then breadcrumbs. Repeat. Deep or shallow fry until brown. Melt Cider and Sage Jelly and serve on the side.
